What does Yahweh Yireh mean? What does Yahweh Ropheka or Yahweh Rophe mean? Rabbi Schneider shares that El Shaddai, God Almighty, was the name known prior to revealing His covenant name, Yahweh. Yahweh's name is used over 7,000 times in the Old Testament. In Hebrew, there are no vowels. Learn how the scribes hid the name of God to prevent gentiles from using God's name in blasphemous ways. In the ancient Hebrew language, there was no "J" sound.
