Why did God send Jesus into the world? Rabbi Schneider shares that Jesus bridged a gap between us and God. Anyone who believes in Jesus will have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." Because the Father loves you, He sent Jesus for you. You've been chosen by the Father to be His son or daughter. Open your heart and believe God loves you. Regardless of what sin we have committed, when you repent and accept Jesus your sin judgment was placed on Jesus. Jesus died for you! Jesus took your sin so that you would not have to die in the divine exchange of mercy and grace. Jesus calls us to love our enemies as He loved us when we sinned against Him. More than anything else, as we study the Gospel of John, Jesus spent time in friendship, love, and relationship with His disciples. Make a conscious effort to spend time with Jesus. Take time to be with Him.

What does "born again" mean? Can you be a Christian without being born again? Rabbi Schneider of Discovering the Jewish Jesus shares what born again means, how it's possible, and that God is still in the business of doing miracles. Jesus loves you and will manifest Himself through witnessing those miracles. Being born again is not a certain type of Christian. To be born again is to be born of God's Spirit and receive His nature. We can't physically see the Spirit, but we can see the effects of the Spirit as we cannot see the wind. We need to release ourselves of only what we can see so that we can be moved by and led by the Spirit. He that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Do you have ears to hear? Do you have a spiritually sensitive heart? Come learn how to be born again.

What was Jesus first miracle? Why did Jesus turn water to wine? What is the significance of that first miracle? Rabbi Schneider shares that studying and understanding John's Gospel is profound. Jesus turns water to wine, and it is better than the wine served prior. But the significance is that as we keep our eyes on Jesus, the best years of our lives will be the latter years of our lives. Even as the outer body fails, Jesus renews our inner man. We will receive a deeper peace and grace from God. We will be renewed day by day. God shows His glory by doing something supernatural in the lives of His children. Write and keep track of the things God does in your life to give you courage as you press on. Watch Discovering the Jewish Jesus in this episode to explore and understand the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.

Does fear hold you back from the gifts of the Spirit? Do you care more about what people think of you or what God thinks? Rabbi Schneider shares that the same gifts that Jesus used are still ours today. The same annointing that was on Jesus is on us also. Believe God for more and break out of having a passive spirit that worries about what people think rather than what God thinks. God will open greater revelation, but we have to be bold in our faith. Speak faith to doubt. Ask God to help you to have more faith. Put God first.

Why did John the Baptist call Jesus the Lamb of God? How does the message of John the Baptist relate to us today? Rabbi Schneider shares that John the Baptist was a real, historical person. His purpose is what ours is today: 1. A voice crying in the wilderness and, 2. John the Baptist was a forerunner of Jesus. By pointing out Jesus as the Lamb of God, he introduces Jesus as the fulfillment of the ancient Passover Lamb from Exodus chapter 12. As John the Baptist cried out in the wilderness, so are we to also cry out in the wilderness to prepare the world for Jesus' return. The New Testament is not separate from the Old Testament. It's the fulfillment of the Old Testament. The Bible is for revealing God, but is not God. Expect God to reveal Himself to you as you learn more about God through the Bible.

Let go of preconceived notions of what born again means and learn what Jesus meant by being born of the Spirit. Jesus is the bridge between God and humanity because He is fully God and fully man. The Gospel of John is real history sharing that John saw the real Jesus. John saw Jesus glory and light, saw Jesus transform, and experienced His full grace and truth. For the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. As we receive Jesus, we become part of Him and He is in us. The Light | Mysteries in the Gospel of John Season 2

Wednesday May 07, 2025
Why is Jesus called the Light? What does it mean to walk in the Light? Rabbi Schneider shares that we need to learn to think above the natural and into the supernatural. Jesus came to manifest the Light and to call us out of the darkness. We have been enlightened through the Holy Spirit and given the ability to perceive spiritually what has been revealed through Christ Jesus. The Gospel of John points to the fact that deep, down inside everybody knows that there is a God. God can show up in a way much bigger than our small minds can conceive. Receiving Jesus means to bring Him into our lives, offering ourselves to Him each day, depending on God. We begin to understand what it means to be a child of God through the supernatural relationship with Him as we are drawn to walk in the Light.
